I discussed some of the benefits of videos in my last newsletter ( September 2021). Now, I would like to talk about a specific video. The video in an interview format.
I believe having another party interviewing you helps viewers see who you are. How you respond to a question assists your viewers or a potential customer see how you relate to another person. It is not just what you say, it is how you get along with another person. This could be a precursor to how you would be as a client to a company.
The questions asked help paint a picture of who you are and provide a glimpse into your heart of what excites you as well as what motivates you. These qualities may not be as overt when you just talk on a video.
The more complete the picture, the greater the level of trust that is built. I often only deal with people I know will relate with me. By their answering questions, I can see who they are. It is not just the words spoken but the emotion behind them.
My greatest success often comes from dealing with like minded people. The video interview helps me recognize those type of people. Plus when I deal with them in the future, the video interview has established how we can relate to one another and collaborate faster. The foundation has been rooted and even more importantly understood.
Video interviews create win/win scenarios for you and your potential new customers.
