Many times as we get close to the end of a project, the conclusion of a year, or the end of a client relationship, or even the end of a job one has a tendency to experience a letdown. This letdown can lead to a period of your not being as productive as you can be. Your motivation may not be as strong and you languish in a state of paralysis. Sometimes you may even feel sorry for yourself or begin to wonder if all you did was worth it which can lead to procrastination. These negative emotions may begin to creep in which further inhibit your ability to be at your best. You may even withdraw from what you are doing and just be by yourself which may lead to a negative emotion of loneliness or depression.
I have always found as you get closer to the final stage of anything it is best to begin to work harder and faster. You have learned so much throughout the process that the ending allows you to put all the pieces together. You can see the path to get to where you need to go and now know where you will end up. I always begin to speed up to get there.
This approach has helped me complete my journey in a positive fashion.
As we get closer to the end of the year finish strong. Like a runner on their last lap build up your strength and end what you are doing in an optimistic way. This approach will help you be all you can be.
Get going and focus on the finish line!
