As we approach the end of 2021 it is a perfect time to evaluate what worked and what did not over the past 12 months. Time has a tendency to allow us to look back in an unemotional way to what has transpired.
I break the year down into quarters. I look at my goals for that time period and see what I accomplished, how I was successful, and what I could do better. I always start from a positive perspective as I want to see this as a triumphant endeavor. The optimistic approach helps my mind feel I have been victorious and assists me in wanting to do even better in the future.
After each quarter, I summarize my findings and put together a grade for my results as well as my effort. At the end of the year I produce an overall conclusion of the year and key learnings that can be utilized as benchmarks for the year ahead.
I am now ready to transition to 2022 knowing what I have been successful with in 2021 and where I can build on that success in the coming year. I am also aware of areas where I can do better.
The journey for 2022 is ready to begin filled with knowledge and hope.
One of my favorite sayings is a perfect fit:
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it can achieve.”
