Most people are still not back in the office. Communication between staff is mostly done through technology with little in person communication occurring.
What does one do to keep people engaged and even more importantly help individuals grow in the world today?
Your goal in communication should be to motivate employees to do the best they can. Catch them doing good work. Point out when they collaborate with another team member. Write down how their effort with a customer led to a deeper relationship and even better how happy the customer was as a result of dealing with them.
Praise people based on how hard they worked on a project. Continually let people know when they’re doing well. Share the successes they have had. These tactics will lead to each member of your team aspiring to do the best they can.
People might feel they are not being noticed because you might not see them visually and that might lead them to conclude out of sight out of mind. As a result of that thinking, a little praise and recognition can go a very long way especially today.
Seeing the good in others makes for a happy, healthy, and growing organization.
