As we begin 2021 many people put together New Year’s resolutions. They think about what they want to accomplish and how they are going to be better in the coming year. Lots of people put these goals together with a hope or wish that they turn out successfully.
I have found before you go forward, it could be beneficial to look back at what happened in the previous year. One of my favorite quotes applies here “that which we run from follows us”. Don’t put 2020 away just yet. Self reflection can be beneficial. How did your resolutions work? How many did you accomplish? What were the impediments to your not succeeding? What did you do well? Should you have adjusted your goals? Your expectations? Your effort? All of these outcomes need to be reviewed based on the above criteria and more. When this self reflection is completed you are more than ready to move ahead.
Now that you have thought about the past and determined what worked and what did not, you are set to make your resolutions for 2021. You also have a better understanding of what you need to do to have your goals bear fruition.
Now go ahead and make 2021 all you want it be.
