Shake Shack is everywhere. They have grown into markets around the world. Danny Meyer the man behind the business has a unique philosophy.

He calls it the “ philosophy of enlightened hospitality” It goes something like this. “ First create a welcoming atmosphere for employees, then for customers and then for the outside community, including suppliers and then finally for investors”.

Talk about a philosophy that goes from the inside out!!!

At the top of the pyramid is the employee. Everything starts with them. Make sure they are happy. Provide them what they need and they in turn will help the customer feel their satisfaction. A happy customer tells others and returns regularly. This cycle of success ultimately works its way down to the investor. It is quite interesting to see the investor and money at the bottom. They will get their return, if those at the top are taken care.

This new pyramid has led to huge success for Shake Shack.
