In our fast-paced world, making a lasting impression is essential, especially when time is limited. Often, listeners may not be initially interested in what you have to say.
To overcome this, it’s crucial to not just describe what you do but also convey why you do it. I realized the key was connecting on a personal level, engaging not only with external aspects but tapping into their emotions.
My epiphany led me to integrate my “why” into my quick description, infusing emotion into my introduction. The result?
People not only understood what I do but resonated with the “love” I have for doing it.
Combining those 2 components created a level of trust with everyone I have met recently. I feel I am beginning to move forward and connect with more people. More like “hearted” people. (See Jan 15 newsletter)
