Harvest Momentum: Plant the Seeds for Success

The air is shifting. Mornings are cooler, days are shorter, and the rhythm of life is changing. I always feel a spark of excitement this time of year maybe because fall has always been my favorite season. It’s a time of fresh starts, a second “new year” of sorts, when we get a chance to reset before the rush of the holidays.

But here’s the thing: too many people wait. They tell themselves they’ll make a change when things settle down, when they feel ready, or when the “right moment” arrives. The fall equinox, which marks the official start of the new season, can easily become just another date that slips by while we stay in the same patterns.

“We can’t become what we need to be by remaining what we are.”

Oprah Winfrey

I believe the time to take action is “before” the equinox. Right now, when momentum is building, is the best time to review, realign, and leap forward.

This month, I’m working with a client who felt stuck in that “waiting game.” Together, we’ve been taking stock of their year looking at what’s worked, what hasn’t, and where they can grow. We’re uncovering opportunities they didn’t even realize they had, and the shift in their energy is contagious. They’re no longer waiting for things to feel perfect; they’re building their next season with intention.

That’s what I love most about this transitional time: it invites us to pause just long enough to reflect and then jump back in with clarity and purpose. The equinox reminds us that balance is fleeting, but action creates change.

“Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still.”

Chinese Proverb

If you’re ready for a reset, here are a few ways to get started before September 22:

  • Audit your year-to-date progress. Where are you hitting goals? Where do you need to pivot?
  • Choose one mindset shift  to carry into the next quarter something that gives you courage or confidence.
  • Reignite a key relationship. A single conversation could open doors to unexpected opportunities.
  • Take one bold step now. Waiting for “perfect” timing means you’ll miss the energy of this transitional season.

Fall is a season of harvest, but also of preparation. What you do now will determine what you’ll celebrate in the months to come. Don’t let the equinox arrive without making your move.

If you or your business could use a fresh perspective or a little extra momentum, I’d love to help. Let’s connect and make this your season of growth.

I’m reminded how much I love this season of possibility. It’s a beautiful invitation to embrace change, not fear it. Wherever this note finds you, I hope you take a moment to breathe, dream, and step forward with courage. The future you’re hoping for is waiting, and the best time to start is right now.

Here’s to growing into the new season… together.
