While I was in Nashville last week visiting Vanderbilt with my daughter, she took me to a new cafe called La La Land. And wow—everything tied together in the best way.
The color theme was yellow. Everywhere. The flowers in the window boxes? Yellow. The dog bowl outside is filled with fresh water? Yellow. Even the free 30-minute parking sign was yellow. When I asked if it was intentional, the manager answered with an enthusiastic “yes”! That little detail made me feel so connected to the place. It felt like the sun was shining inside and outside of the store.
Then came the menu. The signature items were highlighted in, you guessed it, yellow. And there was even a special drink, the Lululemon Chai Latte. If you were a Lululemon member, you got 50% off. Guess who had to order it?
Looking around at the line (20–30 minutes long, by the way), 80%+ of the customers were women. Do you think that was by accident? I don’t.
The food and drinks were just as thoughtful. The avocado toast, blueberry muffins (who can eat just one?), chai tea, and coffee were all spot on. The cups had little sayings like “Be Kind”, “Just Be Nice”, and “Love Yourself” with a cherub illustration on the back. And the stopper? A little yellow heart.
By the time I left, I was genuinely happy. And I’ve already told over 100 people about my experience. That’s branding at work. Consistency builds comfort and trust. It makes you want to share the story.
When your brand speaks with one voice, people don’t just hear you- they feel you. Let’s create that together.
Let’s connect.
