Many people find themselves in business by accident, recruited into a company. They progress by learning how to operate within the structure of the company and its people as well.
Sometimes they stay in the organization and move up. Other times they move on to another endeavor where they go through a similar process and repeat what they learned from before. But over time, the wash, rinse, and repeat cycle can become tiring and boring.
For those corporate types who dare to branch out on their own or use their entrepreneurial instincts to affect change in their current job, I call it taking a second chance. When you look at your future and decide to “go for it,” everything becomes possible.
It is unusual for risk averse individuals to vary their normal routine or use their entrepreneurial instincts to impact their organization. These people need assistance even more as they are doing something very new to them.
Many times these aspiring entrepreneurs need support in their ability to navigate this new landscape. I have found these individuals when they obtain the right guidance their perceived limits dissolve. Their true potential becomes alive. Success no longer remains a distant dream; instead, it becomes an integral part of their being, and even better their impact flourishes.
Bottom line: they embrace their strengths disregarding the expectations imposed by others.
