“Celebrate ! Celebrate! Dance to the Music”
Three Dog Night
Let’s take a look at businesses and services. What can they do to make you celebrate? Remember it is not the magnitude but the event that matters. I was shopping at JC Penny the other day and an employee noticed we were looking at George Foreman grills. He came up to us and asked if we needed help. Upon our answer of yes, he went and retrieved his phone and showed us our choices and then explained in detail the characteristics of each product. He then went further telling us pricing differences. That made us feel great but he was not done. He provided us personal stories of his experiences with 2 of the products. He went further and explained how we could save more money by buying the product online. We felt great having knowledge and an ability to save $$’s! We celebrated our good fortune from our experience and celebrated again when we purchased the grill.
PS I told 10 people about my positive meeting
For those that know me, you know…
I Love Ice Cream.
I was on a trip to Arizona when I discovered an ice cream store called “The Screamery.” Obviously, I had to try it out. It just so happens the owner was there and the enjoyment began. She asked was I new to the store? When I said yes, she proceeded to share with me how they source their milk and what the cows eat. Talk about details! She then told me about every ingredient added to the base ice cream including that everything was homemade and what was used to make them. Next, she told me her favorite flavors and why. If that was not enough she gave me her favorites to sample! Talk about a celebration! I had ice cream selected by an expert. Needless to say I chose the “triple play”. Chocolate ice cream, brownie pieces, and to top it off, chocolate chips. Two scoops in a dish because with cones you cannot push down as much, thus, you get more in a cup. I told the owner how thoughtful she was and that I appreciated her passion for helping a new customer. She beamed with appreciation and thanked me profusely. We celebrated together and the three people behind me ordered the same thing. I celebrated the rest of the day and went back the next day as well. Plus I told a dozen people about The Screamery and my encounter with the owner as well. I wanted to share my good feelings with others. Tip: Celebrations bring happiness.
