A perfect day to celebrate success.
I love ice cream! The more the better.❤️
As you might have noticed the Chicago weather has been warming up which has forced me to switch to more liquid Ice Cream treats at the expense of more solid Ice Cream. It is critical one maintains hydration on hot summer days.
National Ice Cream Day is a great day for celebration. I review what I have accomplished so far this year and then have an Ice Cream treat for each victory. This makes me remember all the good I have achieved. I reflect upon how many people and businesses have benefited from my assistance. The review creates a warm feeling for me.
Plus I don’t want to forget anything nor anyone as that would diminish my Ice Cream rewards.
I have rules for my Ice Cream eating. One rule is always order your ice cream in a dish as it can be pushed down where as a cone may crumble under similar pressure. Thus, one gets more Ice Cream in a dish. My favorite to begin with is coffee Ice Cream with hot fudge sauce. Basic but it gets you going. I move to an Ice Cream that celebrates summer like peach Ice Cream. Second rule is the order of eating is critical. Start with solids and switch to liquids as you get thirsty and always end with mint. Root beer floats are light and satisfy my thirst. I always put vanilla bean Ice Cream in the float as it adds a little kick. So they are my first drink I consume. After my thirst is quenched I go to a hot fudge brownie sundae with vanilla Ice Cream. I love chocolate too. After that, I go to a hot fudge milk shake with cappuccino yogurt. The yogurt helps me minimize calories. I am always on the lookout for places to cut calories. 😉 I always end with mint as that helps digestion. I prefer mint chocolate chip with a dollop of hot fudge.
Just a few of the treats that are part of my Ice Cream celebration of success. I go deeper depending on how many people have been impacted by my efforts. These 5 treats should help get you started.
You work hard… Reward yourself and your team during National Ice Cream Day.
P.S. If the list is really long there have been times where I have spread the celebration over several days. Helping others has its benefits.😃
